Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Trust Bank awarded ten outstanding Grade 9 students with the Excellence in the Millennium Awards on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at a local hotel in Banjul.<\/b><\/p>\n

The top ten students in the recent Grade 9 Gambia Basic and secondary certificate examination (GABECE) were awarded certificates, tablets, and cash prizes of 10,000 dalasis each. The most outstanding student, who achieved the highest overall score, received an additional 8,000 dalasis.<\/p>\n

At the award ceremony, the Managing Director of Trust Bank, Mrs. Njilan Senghore, said that the award is not just a recognition of the students\u2019 academic performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis award is not just a recognition of your academic Excellence. It is also a celebration of your Character, Dedication and your commitment to making a positive difference in your lives. You have demonstrated a willingness to go above and beyond what is expected of you, and you have shown that you have the skills and determination to make an impact,\u201d She stated.<\/p>\n

The permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Ebrima Sisawo advises the students to maintain the momentum.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to keep up the momentum and push the drive knowing that in the next thread years you are going to face another important exam. We will be looking out for your names on that top list because you have already set the standards,\u201d PS Sisawo said<\/p>\n

The most Outstanding Awardee, Aminata A. Bojang thanked Trust Bank for recognizing their efforts as students.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of the awardees, I would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the Management and staff of Trust Bank for recognizing our little efforts in the last grade 9 exams and awarding us accordingly. Your Support and encouragement in the education have inspired us to strive for greater heights in our education,\u201d she Said.<\/p>\n

The award ceremony is the Bank\u2019s 13th edition of the Excellence in Millennium Award programme for the Grade nine graduates.<\/p>\n
