QUESTION OF THE DAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Opinions are divided. Many of those who have businesses in the Kanifing Municipality are still not convinced that the \u2018three year jotna\u2019 procession will pass without incident. Hence they are taking contingency measures against any outbreak of civil disturbance despite the fact that the leadership of the procession had given assurance that they will hold a peaceful march and are not interested in any violent outcome. Their procession therefore will be seen as a threat to such people until the event ends in peace.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, there are those who see the procession as a sign of tolerance by the security apparatus of the state.<\/p>\n

16th December and its aftermath will teach many lessons and\u00a0 will be there to keep the record straight.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
