Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government for a one-year term,\u201d the Authority said.<\/p>\n<p>The Authority also extended its congratulations to His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his election as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to His Excellency Julius Maada Bio on his re-election as President of the Republic of Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu, who was sworn in as Nigeria\u2019s president on May 29th, 2023, succeeds H. E. General Umaro Sissoko Embalo\u0301, President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau who served as Chairperson of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government for the past year.<\/p>\n<p>The president of the Gambia, H.E.
