Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Dodou Jah, the deputy spokesperson of the APRC, said that he would not remove ECOMIG soldiers from Foni if he were president, as he believes they are necessary for peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cBased on security reasons if I were the president today I will leave them (ECOMIG) there (In Foni). I have my reasons, things that I know I cannot say on media. For peace and stability\u2019s sake. What I know today, I am not talking about yesterday, I will leave them there for peace, stability, and security reasons. I have reasons that I cannot say in the media,\u201d the APRC Deputy spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

Dodou Jah is the Deputy spokesperson of the Alliance for Patriotic Re-orientation and Construction (APRC). His party was a strong advocate for the removal of the ECOMIG from Fonu before their alliance with the president\u2019s National People\u2019s Party (NPP) during the 2021 presidential elections.<\/p>\n
