Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>His Excellency, Liu Jin, Chinese Ambassador to The Gambia has acknowledged is country\u2019s resolve in fostering the relation between the two countries, saying China will always be a natural member of developing countries.<\/b><\/p>\n

Ambassador Jin was speaking recently at Coco Ocean as officials from the Chinese Embassy and other invited dignitaries gathered to mark the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People\u2019s Republic of China.<\/p>\n

The National Day Reception was held for the first time, after 4 years due to Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

He spoke about his country\u2019s resolve to promote world peace, thereby contributing to global development, and safeguard the international order.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo matter how far China develops, it will always be a natural member of developing countries, and will always stand with its Global South brothers, including Africa.\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Strengthening solidarity and cooperation with African countries, he added, has always been a priority for China’s diplomacy and that no matter how the international landscape may evolve, China-Africa friendship will always be rock-solid and everlasting.<\/p>\n

\u2018Ten years ago, on his first overseas trip, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Africa, and put forth the principles of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith.\u2019<\/p>\n

Ambassador Jin recalled that last September during China-Africa Leaders’ Dialogue, President Xi Jinping made three important initiative proposals, in supporting Africa’s industrialisation, the Plan for China Supporting Africa’s Agricultural Modernisation, and the Plan for China-Africa Cooperation on Talent Development to strengthen China-Africa cooperation and friendship.<\/p>\n

\u2018This October, the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation will be held in Beijing; while next year, China will host the next FOCAC meeting. This will be new opportunities for China and Africa to discuss their future development. We strongly believe, the long-lasting China-Africa friendship will enter a new stage of jointly building a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chinese Banjul diplomacy chief acknowledged that Chinese government highly values China-Gambia friendship and attaches great importance to its relations with The Gambia.<\/p>\n
