Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Modou Lamin B. Bah, National Assembly Member for Banjul North was recently nominated by Global Youth Mental Health Forum as Peaceful Mind Foundation President.<\/b><\/p>\n

Peaceful Mind Foundation was registered in India in 2016, and is a global organisation aimed at creating awareness on mental health and well-being.<\/p>\n

Peaceful Mind Foundation is also registered with the United Nations (UN) Global Compact. The foundation provides opportunities to one and all in the community to be more self-aware of and advocate for psychological well-being at grassroots level.<\/p>\n

In an interview with The Point,<\/b> Hon Bah thanked Dr. Nab Kapur and team for entrusting him with such an important position and also the people of Banjul North Constituency and beyond for giving him the mandate to better represent them in parliament.<\/p>\n

Bah further indicated that, mental health is an integral part of health and goes beyond the absence of mental illnesses.<\/p>\n

\u201cI reaffirm my commitment to create more awareness on youth and mental health in The Gambia and around the world,\u201d Bah stated.<\/p>\n
