{"id":54373,"date":"2024-03-08T07:59:33","date_gmt":"2024-03-08T07:59:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/gambia\/uncategorized\/nra-presents-2024-annual-work-programme-in-sectoral-retreat"},"modified":"2024-03-08T08:26:01","modified_gmt":"2024-03-08T08:26:01","slug":"nra-presents-2024-annual-work-programme-in-sectoral-retreat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/gambia\/all-news\/nra-presents-2024-annual-work-programme-in-sectoral-retreat","title":{"rendered":"NRA presents 2024 annual work programme in Sectoral Retreat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Gambia. <\/strong><\/span><b>The National Roads Authority (NRA) on Thursday presented its 2024 annual work plan during the 9th edition of the Transport and Infrastructure Sectoral Retreat held at Bakadaji Hotel, along the Bertil Harding Highway in Kololi.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The three-day retreat, which brought together various public enterprises and departments of Transport and Infrastructure, is organised by the Ministry of Transport, Works, and Infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Technical Director, Goerge Jatta, presented the 2024 work plan for the NRA before senior staff of various departments and public enterprises under the Ministry.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from the ongoing 2022-2023 construction works, he said the NRA intends to do a couple of construction works and maintenance this year in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the Authority intends to resurface some sections of the Banjul-Serrekunda highway and a section of Westfield-Sukuta length of 5km.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also intend to do asphalt resurfacing of Westfield-Mandinaba Road of 7km sections,\u201d he said, adding that all these constructions are expected to be completed by the end of this year 2024.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the Authority also intends to construct the famous Jaliba Kuyateh Road in Brikama, Gunjur Access Road and the rehabilitation of shoulders from Brikama to Mandinaba, Kwameh Road in Serrekunda, Fajikunda Daru Salam and the access road that leads to USET in Brikama.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll these roads are intended to be constructed and completed this year 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/gambia\">Gambia<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Gambia.
