Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>On Friday, March 22nd, 2024, supporters of the Patriotic Africans of Senegal for Work, Ethics, and Fraternity (PASTEF) in the Gambia convened for their last caravan before the Presidential election scheduled for Sunday, March 24th, 2024.<\/b><\/p>\n

The gathering, held at Westfield, saw a gathering of PASTEF supporters residing in the Gambia, rallying in full force to bolster the campaign for their candidate, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.<\/p>\n

Fredric Jarjou, the Coordinator of PASTEF\u2019s Gambia Chapter, expressed satisfaction with the substantial turnouts witnessed since the chapter\u2019s inception in the Gambia.<\/p>\n

Jarjou expressed confidence in their candidate\u2019s prospects, believing it could mark a historic moment for Senegalese opposition to clinch victory in the Gambia.<\/p>\n

He appealed to PASTEF supporters in the Gambia to turn out in large numbers to vote for Bassirou Diomaye Fay, emphasizing the aim to overturn dictatorship in Senegal.Jarjou encouraged Senegalese citizens voting in the Gambia to obtain their voter\u2019s cards from the Ambassador, highlighting the provision of a polling station in the Gambia for their convenience.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am calling on all Senegalese citizens who are voting in the Gambia to go collect their voter\u2019s cards from the Ambassador. Because there will be a polling station in the Gambia where they can vote,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He urged PASTEF supporters to ensure a peaceful voting process and refrain from bringing any materials bearing the PASTEF symbol to the voting precincts to avoid violating election regulations.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet them all go out and vote in peace and go back to their various homes, and wait for the results. I am advising them not to take anything that has the PASTEF symbol to the voting grounds. Because we don\u2019t want to violate the election rules,\u201d he urged.<\/p>\n

Omar Aw, spearheading the campaign in the Gambia, announced arrangements for transportation for those traveling to Senegal to cast their votes.<\/p>\n

Aw expressed confidence in Bassirou Diomaye Faye\u2019s ability to emerge victorious and bring about peace in Senegal if elected.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know Bassirou Diomaye Faye will win the election. I know if he wins, he will restore peace in Senegal,\u201d he expressed.<\/p>\n

He called on fellow youth to uphold peace and reject any instigation of violence during the electoral process.<\/p>\n
