Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) on Saturday 4th May 2024 held its annual award night and gala at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.<\/b><\/p>\n

The award night and gala was organised to recognise males and females in Serrekunda East.<\/p>\n

The event brought together football club presidents, administrators, players, family members and other important dignitaries.<\/p>\n

President of Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO), Modou Yusupha Cham, stated that the award night and gala was organised to recognise the performance of all players within Serrekunda East during the 2023 season.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2018My committee is looking at everyone\u2019s efforts and the award ceremony would motivate players,\u2019\u2019 Cham said.<\/p>\n

Cham called on partners to come out and support SESDO new model.<\/p>\n

He also called on the general public, private institutions, NGOs and individuals to come out and support SESDO.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Alieu Kanteh of Leeds United FC was awarded as the player of the season after scoring 6 goals in 12 nawettan matches.<\/p>\n

The leading goal scorer of the season award goes to Saihou Manneh of Casa United, while the youngest player of the season award went to Amara Camara of T. Town.<\/p>\n

Camara netted four goals in 9 appearances.<\/p>\n

The best team of the nawetan went to T.Town FC.<\/p>\n

They played 9 games, won 6 matches, drew two and lost one.<\/p>\n

The goalkeeper of the nawettan award went to Muhammed Sanneh of T.Town FC.<\/p>\n

Sanneh played 9 games with six clean sheets.<\/p>\n

He conceded only 3 goals.<\/p>\n

The best coach of the nawettan award went to Fanding Badjie of T.Town FC<\/p>\n

The youngest best volleyball female player of the season award went to Fatou Busso.<\/p>\n

Ousman Kujabi received the youngest male volleyball player of the season award, while Haddy Njie won the best female player ward.<\/p>\n

Modou Lamin Jarju grabbed the best male volleyball player of the year award.<\/p>\n

The best male basketball player of the year award went to Gorgi Sowe, while the best female basketball player of the year award went to Jabou Tunkara.<\/p>\n

Isatou Jabarteh won the best young female basketball player of the year award, while Sulayman Jawara grabbed the young male basketball player of the year award.<\/p>\n
