Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Her Regal Majesty, Olori Ambassador Dr. Temitope EnitanOgunwusi has described the Gambia First Lady as an \u201cexceptional woman, very dynamic and a true definition of a virtuous woman,\u201d while urging Nigerians, especially the Yoruba Community in The Gambia to tolerate each other to live in peace and unity among themselves.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Regal Majesty, Olori Ambassador Dr. Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi, the Queen of His Imperial Majesty, Ooni AdeyeyeBabatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, Ile-Ife Kingdom, Nigeria who was on an official visit to The Gambia as a guest to the Gambia First Family from the 9th to the 12th of May made this comment on a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness (HRH) Oba\/King (RTN) Dr. MoshoodKolawole Abolade (JP), the Ariwajoye 1 of Yoruba Community in The Gambia in his palace at Paradise City, Farato West Coast Region on Sunday, 12th May 2023 before she departed for Nigeria.<\/p>\n

The Queen of His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye BabatundeEnitan Ogunwusi, the Ojaja II of Ife was received at the palace by HRH Highness Oba Moshood Kolawole Abolade and his Oloris accompanied by his chiefs\/elders in council and Yoruba Women Association, The Gambia as tradition and culture demands.<\/p>\n

Her visit to the palace is meant to enhance the relationship between 2 Royal Households in Africa, which will enhance the Pan-Africanism movement.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering at the palace shortly after a closed-door meeting with the King of the Yoruba Community in The Gambia, she said all \u201cwe need is peace, love, and unity\u201d which should not be a barrier among people.<\/p>\n

Queen Temitope Ogunwusi affirmed that this was her first visit to The Gambia but less than 24 hours of her staying in the country the first thing realized that is \u201cvery significant is oneness, unity and love.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw the President of the country showing love to his people, making them free while people are coming to him taking pictures with him. It got to a certain stage where the President got up going round the table to show great affection to his people, greeting them by making himself available to them, all because of his love and affection for both Gambians and non-Gambians,\u201d Her Regal Majesty explained President Barrow\u2019s love for people of The Gambia.<\/p>\n

Her Regal Majesty, Olori Ambassador Dr. Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi described the Gambia First Lady as an \u201cexceptional woman, very dynamic and a true definition of a virtuous woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

In her message to Nigerians, especially Yorubas living in the host country, \u201cYou should not live in contrary to the way your host is living. Let love and unity be your strength instead of division.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Queen of His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye BabatundeEnitan Ogunwusi who was impressed by Gambian\u2019s receptiveness towards Nigerians in The Gambia emphasized living together with love and enjoined the Yorubas in the country to make peace and love their watchwords and guide while applauded HRH Oba Moshood Abolade the Ariwajoye 1 of Yoruba Community for his upright, oneness, love, sincerity and equality among his people.<\/p>\n

Responding to Her Regal Majesty, HRH Oba Moshood Aboladethanked the Queen for making it out to visit him, his family, and members of the Yoruba community despite her busy schedule in The Gambia \u2013 \u201cOn behalf of the Yoruba Community in The Gambia, we appreciate this. Thank you for the visit!\u201d<\/p>\n

He, therefore, assured the Queen that the Yoruba Community in The Gambia will continue to work and live together as brothers and sisters for the progress of the two countries.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the event was also used to launch the Yoruba Women Association in The Gambia, an association that consists of women from various backgrounds within the Yoruba Community with shared values and commitment to enhance and promote the welfare of women and children and community development initiatives.<\/p>\n

At the launch, Oba Moshood Abolade (Ariwajoye1) presented a cheque of D10,000 to the Association and also promised a monthly contribution to support their activities.<\/p>\n
