Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Reviewing and presenting its annual data for the benefit of the stakeholders and as well celebrating the progress of the health center with its hard-working staff, the Fajikunda Major Health Center on Saturday, 18th May 2024 held its annual data presentation and awards night.<\/b><\/p>\n

The event was observed at the Dream Makers in Senegambia Senegambia and was attended by some senior officials of the Ministry of Health, NAMs, Ward Councillors, GID, GFRS, GPF representatives, members of communities served, KMC, women group representatives, and others.<\/p>\n

As usual, the event showcased the services offered by the health center, presented service delivery data, and as well awarded the well-appraised staff of the health center.<\/p>\n

Also, the health center equally used well-attended events to award some institutions and organizations for their support to the Fajikunda Major Health Center in the concluded year.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering shortly after the welcoming address of Ms. Ramatoulie Camara, Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Fajikunda Major Health Center, the Regional Director of Health Services Western 1, Musa Camara.<\/p>\n

He congratulated the health center for their steadfastness and hard work while noting that the ceremony was part of efforts to ensure effective health service delivery and sustainable retention of health staff in the health sector.<\/p>\n

He stated that Fajikunda Health Center is a major public health facility that provides healthcare services to a wider range of communities beyond its operational catchment area.<\/p>\n

The health center, according to him, has a serving population of 313,505 with 18 nurse Midwives conducting an average of 15 deliveries per day, 250 per month on shift duties, and 2,876 deliveries per year.<\/p>\n

He outlined some success stories and achievements of the center and also its constraints.<\/p>\n

In his goodwill messages, he encouraged them to serve the population well with the inculcated knowledge and skills for excellence and to remember to fulfill their obligatory duties because the regulatory bodies will monitor their practice and as well ensure timely reporting of facility data to the region for entry into the DHIS2.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, data were presented by staff of various units, while the guest speaker was Mr Gibril Jarju and the OIC presented souvenirs to the guests.<\/p>\n
