Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>By Tabora Bojang Nominated National Assembly Member, Ya-Kumba Jaiteh has attributed the ongoing fuel crisis to \u201cPresident Adama Barrow\u2019s lack of good leadership and outright corruption in his government.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jaiteh, a member of the opposition UDP, said the current situation has made life very tough for the commuting public especially school-going children. She alleged that the crisis could have been averted if not the \u201cdubious activities of close associates\u201d of the president.<\/p>\n

Addressing a political rally in the ongoing campaign, Ya-Kumba said Barrow does not know how to govern this country. \u201cThe law tells him clearly that the country should have at least a month cover of fuel reserves in case of any emergency. But it is due to their sheer greed and corruption that triggered them to tamper with our reserves and share it among themselves all for their personal gains when our children could not get transport to go to school due to the fuel scarcity. Such a person does not deserve to rule this country again,\u201d Jaiteh charged.<\/p>\n
