Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Gambian electorates have called for peaceful coexistence and tolerance as December 4 election was held on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Many of the citizens who had talked to this medium after casting their votes noted that election has come and gone but what remains is to live peacefully with each other in the country by putting aside the irrespective individual party ideologies and work together with whoever that win the election for the betterment of the country.<\/p>\n

Anjalika Jatta expressed her happiness after voting for the candidate of her choice saying she hope her candidate can bring development but quickly added that \u201clet\u2019s all come together as one and live together peacefully because election is over now.\u201d<\/p>\n

In her strong voice, she called on youth to maintain peace and stability, \u201cBecause there is nothing like peaceful coexistence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marang Dibba said the reason for her to vote is that she wants the country to go forward. She said the person she has voted for is a peaceful person, \u201cI know that he will take the country forward, I will advise my fellow youth to accept any of the candidates that win so we can move forward, Allah is great.\u201d<\/p>\n

She too advised the youth to maintain the peace and stability \u201cwe have in this country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sulayman Bojang disclosed that the election process went peacefully and smoothly without encountering any difficulty people come peacefully and voted in peace, but now election has passed let\u2019s in peace and harmony.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ebrima Jatta and Pera voted for the first time they said they were happy to vote for their choice candidates and they prayed for peaceful coexistence to enjoy the dividends of democracy as new voters.<\/p>\n
