He emphasized the importance of the partnership in enhancing efficiency and maintaining competitiveness in the region, stating, \u201cThe financial resources required for capacity improvement in Banjul are beyond GPA\u2019s capabilities. This partnership with Al-Bairakwill enable us to remain relevant and competitive in the port industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner of Customs, Mr. Alhagie Mbaye, spoke about the reforms implemented by GPA and the GRA to enhance port operations, including digital platforms and the single window system. He stressed the importance of optimizing space, strategizing with stakeholders, and embracing digital solutions for increased efficiency, stating, \u201cEfficiency at the port is crucial for optimal revenue collection and national development. We must work together as stakeholders to ensure a seamless and efficient port operation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Al-Bairak\u2019s General Manager, Yunus Yilmaz, expressed confidence in the partnership\u2019s ability to streamline operations and reduce waiting times at the port. He assured stakeholders that the transition would be gradual and beneficial for all parties involved, noting, \u201cOur solutions will benefit all entities in reducing the total cost of the port.
