Jarra, Charge\u0301 d\u2019Affaires at the Embassy of The Gambia in Riyadh and Acting Permanent Representative to the OIC. Speaking on behalf of The Gambia, Ambassador Jarra strongly condemned the ongoing aggression and violations committed by Israel against the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n<p>He specifically denounced Israel\u2019s recent decision to seize control of the Prophet Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron\u2014a site revered by Muslims, Christians, and Jews\u2014as a blatant breach of international law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Gambia unequivocally rejects this provocative and unlawful action, which violates International Law, the Hebron Agreement, and the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property,\u201d Ambassador Jarra said.<\/p>\n<p>He reiterated The Gambia\u2019s call for urgent international intervention, urging bodies such as UNESCO and the United Nations to take decisive action to halt the violations and ensure the protection of religious sites in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.<\/p>\n<p>Executive Committee member states participating in the meeting included the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Tu\u0308rkiye, the Republic of Cameroon, and the Republic of Iraq, along with several other OIC member states.<\/p>\n<p>The Gambian delegation also comprised H.E. Mr. Ebou A.
