Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>As a young make-up artist, Ms. Touray is poised to harnessing her God-given talents to a wider audience. In a recent chat with The Point, Ms. Touray disclosed that she ventured into the make-up business by default, as her first choice of profession was to become a health worker.<\/p>\n

But having cherished beauty, love and show enthusiasm to make people look beautiful, she pursued the area and her dream quickly came to reality with the support of her family and friends. Being blessed with the skills naturally, the young emerging artist is now ready to exploit her trade beyond frontiers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to be a health worker initially, because I am studying science in school, and in doing that makeup business will be a secondary career considering the fact that focusing only in one area in The Gambia is not sustainable. So I want to make sure I buy good products for my clients to please them and keep the business sustainable.\u201d She explained.<\/p>\n

In the midst of challenges faced by many young talents in the country, Ms. Touray advised her fellow youngsters to focus on skill development and be always ready to expose their natural skills. She acknowledged the fact that God has endowed each and every one with a talent in a different way.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo it\u2019s left to the individual to push it, because it\u2019s part of nation development. Government can\u2019t do it all for us, so let them never underrate their capabilities. People should always believe in themselves to the core, though there may be some elements of discouragements, but they shouldn\u2019t have low self-esteem just because of mere criticism.\u201d<\/p>\n

As far as her business is concerned, Ms. Touray affirmed that she always subscribed to the slogan that \u2018be what you are and love what you are and sky is the limit.\u2019<\/p>\n
