The government has also play an important role in making sure that this team reach the country to assist the hospital with new system and the patients at large,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Eye Unit at EFSTH, Pa Modou Colley underscored the importance of the project to enhance medical care and surgical excellence particularly in area of eye care system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe presence of this highly skill Chinese surgeons underscored the commitment we share towards improving health care outcome in our community. This type of surgery is based on modern technique that is used to remove cataract. It involves using ultra- sound to break up,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>The Consular of Chinese Embassy, Tong Zhan notes that the health sector is a priority between the two countries. \u201cWe began this milestone in the 1970s and we have teams in Bansang, Kiang, and Kaur,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<p>He disclosed that the embassy would help one hundred and fifty doctors and nurses in Gambia to be trained in China on health matters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis project is important because the people who have eye problems will be cured.
