During the interview, he made a series of allegations that the government later described as carrying \u201cserious national security implications.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Among his claims, Sanyang alleged that the 2021 presidential election was rigged through the unlawful registration of non-Gambian nationals, allegedly facilitated by Ambassador Sheikh Omar Faye. He also asserted that the government was implicated in the ongoing murder trial involving Ousainou Bojang and his sister, Amie Bojang.
