As the Saudi regulations on Hajj are evolving, President Barrow encouraged them to adapt in order to ensure better participation of Gambians in the spiritual journey. He assured them of continuous Government support in reforming Hajj operations and keeping this essential service affordable to Gambians,\u201d a State House statement read.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the commission, Amirul Hajj Sheikh Imam Ebrima Jarju thanked President Barrow for the audience and provided a briefing on the previous pilgrimage, the challenges faced, and ongoing preparations for future Hajj seasons.<\/p>\n<p>He also expressed appreciation to the government for its support through the Ministry of Lands, Regional Government and Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, as well as The Gambia International Airlines and other partners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSheikh Jarju briefed the President on the previous pilgrimage to Mecca, challenges encountered, and the ongoing preparations for the forthcoming Hajj season.
