Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Bai Dodou Jallow, president of The Gambia Volleyball Federation confirmed the development to this medium. He said team Gambia will be taking part in the tournament that will take place from 6th to 9th January 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a great opportunity for our athletes who are competing for the first time in such a tournament,\u201d he said while describing the championship as a high profile tournament were champions across the world will participate to showcase their talent in beach volleyball.<\/p>\n

Mr. Jallow noted that they are hopeful for a respectable performance from the team. Pa Alieu Njie will return to sand for The Gambia for the first time in 7 years.<\/p>\n

Njie will pair with Sainey Jawo who will miss his long time partner Mbye Babou Jarra who is not available this time around after his Covid-19 test returned positive.<\/p>\n

Pa Alieu Njie last played for The Gambia beach volleyball team in January 2015. Team Gambia is hopeful for a great tournament as they are not there just to participate but compete with the high profile athletes in the world of beach volleyball.<\/p>\n
