She noted that science continues to record steady increases in credit-grade scores, while SES has maintained strong credit-level performance. \u201cWith science seeing a continued gain in credit grade scores and SES maintaining strong credit performance,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>English and mathematics also produced encouraging results, with between 5,800 and 5,900 students earning credit passes in each subject. \u201cThis reflects a substantial number of learners mastering these critical areas. Overall, these results highlight ongoing progress and sustained achievements across four curriculum subjects,\u201d Drame said.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s examinations also recorded 60 students achieving the highest possible aggregate score of 6. The minister described this group as \u201ca strong foundation of outstanding achievement at the pinnacle of the grading scale,\u201d underscoring the level of academic excellence among upper basic students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis group of top performers represents a strong foundation of outstanding achievement at the pinnacle of the grading skill,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>In total, 15,607 candidates nationwide attained an aggregate score of 42 or better, a marked increase from 14,761 in 2024. This represents the second consecutive year of growth in students reaching this key performance benchmark. More than 53.8% of all candidates in 2025 met or exceeded this level, reflecting rising academic standards across regions.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Drame also highlighted gender trends in the results. Female students continued to lead performance outcomes, with 9,675 girls achieving an aggregate score of 42 or better\u2014representing 55.4% of female candidates, up from 51.9% in 2024.
