He noted that the meeting would also examine pressing issues such as climate change, healthcare gaps, and the need for curricula that prepare youth for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.<\/p>\n<p>UTG Vice Chancellor, Professor Herbert Robinson, emphasized the importance of knowledge exchange in advancing academic collaboration across the continent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn an era defined by rapid advancements in science, innovation, and technology, this conference provides a vital platform for sharing ideas and research that address Africa\u2019s unique challenges,\u201d he said, adding that research remains central to informing teaching, policymaking, and development.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Robinson noted that the U6+ Consortium was established over a decade ago to position African universities as key drivers of continental development. He reaffirmed UTG\u2019s commitment to supporting the consortium\u2019s goals.<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking, Dr. Akin Awoyemi of the University of Liberia described the gathering as a forum for brainstorming on the future of tertiary education in Africa.
