Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Gambian entrepreneur and philanthropist Saikou Sawo has officially announced the formation of the Golden Era Party (GEP), a new political movement he says is built on the principles of discipline, vision, and service to the people.<\/b><\/p>\n

At 39, Sawo is positioning the GEP as more than just another political organization, describing it as a transformative movement aimed at tackling the country\u2019s most pressing challenges. According to him, the party\u2019s mission centers on job creation, sustainable economic growth, and broad-based social development.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom modest beginnings to global achievement, my journey stands as living proof that discipline, vision, and service can transform lives,\u201d Sawo stated at the launch.<\/p>\n

Sawo recently returned to The Gambia to establish Mirrored, a flagship hub focused on aesthetics, medical tourism, youth apprenticeship, and job creation. He disclosed that he has already invested more than $2 million into diverse strategic ventures across the country, generating and sustaining over 50 full-time jobs with plans for expansion in the coming years.<\/p>\n

His professional journey began after graduating as the top student at SOS High School in Bakoteh in 2005, earning him a scholarship to pursue higher education in the United States. He went on to obtain both a Bachelor\u2019s and a Master\u2019s degree, served as a U.S. Army veteran, and built a successful career in corporate America. He rose through the ranks of Fortune 500 companies before founding SBXG+, an innovative technology and consulting start-up, and later expanded into entrepreneurship in The Gambia.<\/p>\n

The Golden Era Party\u2019s slogans reflect its focus on empowerment and inclusivity:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are building a Gambia where youth have futures at home, not the backway.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWomen are supported with childcare, business growth, and resources.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFarmers feed the nation and earn their true value.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEducation means strong schools, training, and jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHospitals provide care, not excuses.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRoads and power connect every community.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLeaders serve with honesty and integrity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Through the GEP, Sawo says he intends to usher in a new political era in The Gambia\u2014one that prioritizes accountability, development, and service to the people.<\/p>\n
