The exercise, which cost D559,000.00 (five hundred and fifty-nine thousand dalasi), was fully sponsored by the GFF.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost of the players selected are graduates from the GFF\u2019s Talent Development Scheme (TDS), which the Football House launched a few years ago,\u201d the federation stated. \u201cThe players were identified from this program across the country, and the objective is not only to participate in the competition but also to ensure that the group graduates to form the core of the future Gambia U-20 team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The GFF further outlined the new CAF regulations governing age eligibility. Under these rules, if one to three players are found ineligible after the MRI test, they are barred from participation, though the team remains in the tournament without the option to replace them.
