Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>Hamat N.K. Bah, Minister of Lands, Regional Government, and Religious Affairs, has called on Cabinet Ministers, Seyfolu (chiefs), Alikalolu, Governors, and National People\u2019s Party (NPP) officials to intensify efforts toward securing President Adama Barrow\u2019s re-election.<\/b><\/p>\n

Minister Bah made the remarks during a \u201cMeet the People Tour\u201d stop in Daru Mbayen, Upper Saloum District, in the Central River Region (CRR).<\/p>\n

Addressing residents, the minister underscored the importance of voter registration ahead of the polls.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet us convene in McCarthy to plan the voter registration exercise for CRR North and South. Let\u2019s ensure that President Adama Barrow secures over 80 percent of the votes in both regions,\u201d he urged.<\/p>\n

He encouraged community leaders and residents to work diligently toward achieving this target, noting that the necessary financial support for the mobilization efforts would be provided. He further stressed that, with financing assured, families must ensure their eligible children are registered to vote.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom now until December 1, our main priority is our candidate, Adama Barrow. That is our only focus,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Minister Bah also echoed President Barrow\u2019s frequent reminder about loyalty and consistency, saying, \u201cWhen you are a guest and you are provided breakfast and lunch, you can be assured dinner will also be served.\u201d He praised the President\u2019s commitment to national development, stating that his work is centred on improving the lives of Gambians.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, at a separate meeting in Njoben, Seedy Njie, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and NPP Deputy Spokesperson, reaffirmed the party\u2019s confidence in the President.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe voted for President Barrow in 2021 and have no regrets. Since independence, no president has delivered more development to both CRR North and South than President Barrow,\u201d Njie said.<\/p>\n

He highlighted visible improvements in electricity supply, road infrastructure, healthcare facilities, schools, and agricultural support, noting that the region has experienced development \u201cacross all sectors.\u201d<\/p>\n
