Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>National Assembly elections slated for April 9 The Independent Electoral Commission yesterday announced that it will conduct National Assembly elections on Saturday 9th April 2022.<\/p>\n

The IEC also said nominations of candidates for the elections will start from 5th to 13th March 2022 from 8:00am to 4pm at its regional offices across the country where nomination papers will be available from 4th February.<\/p>\n

Election House said the campaign period for the election will commence on 17th March and end on 7th April 2022. The IEC announced that the following persons have been appointed as returning officers in the various regional administrative areas:<\/p>\n

Sulayman Joof- Banjul Joseph Colley- Kanifing Robert Anthony Secka \u2013 Brikama, Essa Baldeh- Kerewan, Lamin J Jadama- Mansakonko Amadou Taal- Janjanbureh Lamin Cham-Basse.<\/p>\n
