Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>\u201cKawral Eh Golleh\u201d (Unity and work) is a community-based organization which aims to restore Gambia\u2019s cultural heritage, reinforce the unity among residents of Changai Toro village as well as promote peace and development in the village.<\/p>\n

Various stakeholders such as traditional leaders, government officials, politicians, development partners, artists and youth leaders are expected to grace the historical event.<\/p>\n

The festival would be characterized by cultural performances such as traditional marriage, conference and cultural music that would be performed by Fulani artists.<\/p>\n

In a statement made available to The Point, Musa Jallow, President of \u201cKawral Eh Golleh\u201d, said the annual event aims to revive the Fulani cultural heritage, maintain good traditional practices in the community, and reinforce the unity among residents.<\/p>\n

He added that the event is also meant to contribute to national development through attraction of tourists in the country and in the rural area in particular.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would also organize a conference to discuss maintenance of peace and social cohesion in the society,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

However, Jallow called on all and sundry to support the community based organization and people of Changai Toro village to ensure smooth implementation of the historic event.<\/p>\n

He further invited all to witness the event. This, he said, would contribute immensely to the development of the village, region and the country as a whole.<\/p>\n
