One indicates finality and exclusion, while the other reflects a procedural requirement within an established regulatory framework,\u201d Cham said. He explained that the IEC\u2019s initial decline in applications was due to technical deficiencies and that applicants are invited to resubmit once the stipulated requirements are met.<\/p>\n<p>Cham highlighted that leadership should not be measured by administrative technicalities but by qualities such as vision, accountability, and the ability to inspire citizens.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrue leadership is defined by vision, accountability, the ability to mobilize and inspire citizens, and a steadfast respect for democratic institutions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the public to focus on substantive political issues rather than procedural technicalities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe real test of leadership will not be determined at the document verification stage. It will ultimately be decided by the Gambian people at the ballot box,\u201d Cham added.<\/p>\n<p>He further noted that responding to the IEC\u2019s observations and resubmitting required documents demonstrates respect for the rule of law and confidence in due process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAddressing the Commission\u2019s observations and resubmitting the required documents demonstrates respect for the rule of law and confidence in due process.
