Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>The Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, has promised to give the national team players a hefty reward if they beat Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n

Egypt qualified to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarter-finals after beating Ivory Coast in a thrilling penalty shootout.<\/p>\n

Morocco on the other hand advanced to the quarter-finals after overcoming Malawi in the round of 16 with the result of 2-1.<\/p>\n

The game will take place next Sunday, 30 January at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaound\u00e9, with the winner playing against Cameroon or The Gambia in the semi-finalsIt will be a big ask for the Pharaohs to beat a very strong Morocco side, who are yet to lose a game this tounament, but the Minister of Sport is looking to play his role in trying to motivate the players.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ministry of Youth and Sports promised the players that they would get a reward if they beat Morocco in the quarter-final,\u201d the spokesperson of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Mohamed Fawzi told ONTime Sport TV.Ashraf Sobhi promised the players to pay the reward immediately after the match, if they were able to overcome Morocco.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe decision of the Minister of Sports came in order to support the players and motivate them, in light of the difficulty of the meeting,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
