Africa-Press – Gambia. <\/strong><\/span>The dinner event which saw awards given to winners in different categories was attended by President Adama Barrow, the Minister of Finance, senior government officials, GRA management and staff as well as representatives of a cross-section of taxpaying entities.<\/p>\n

The awards night is in accordance with best international practices to recognize valuable customers for their continuous compliance. Addressing the gathering, Gambia Revenue Authority Commissioner General, Yankuba Darboe said the day is set aside to emphasize the importance of tax compliance and reward the most compliant taxpayers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe GRA is committed to providing optimum client services to our taxpayers in order to enhance the relationship between the authority and the taxpayers and to facilitate trade and create the right environment for businesses to prosper. Our digitalization drive is premised on this objective.\u201d<\/p>\n

CG Darboe congratulated the awardees and challenged those who lost out to double up their efforts. He extolled the Minister of Finance, IMF, the World Bank, African Development Bank, UNCTAD, WTO, WCO, WHO, EU, ATAF, WATAF, CATA, the People\u2019s Republic of China and all GRA\u2019s stakeholders such as the Ministry of Trade, GIEPA, PURA, GPA, CBG, Accountant General\u2019s Office and Gamtel. Awardees<\/p>\n
