Africa-Press – Ghana. Dr Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, has embarked on a working visit to the Ahafo Ano South West District, to engage key stakeholders and assess progress on development initiatives in the area.
During the visit, Dr Amoakohene paid courtesy calls on traditional leaders, to express the government’s appreciation for their continued support and to deepen collaboration on local development efforts.
He also met with staff of the District Assembly, interacted with members of the community, and inspected various projects across the district, including ongoing and stalled developments.
The Regional Minister commended Mr Abubakar Sadiq, District Chief Executive (DCE), for his dedication and tireless efforts in driving the development agenda of President John Dramani Mahama.
He highlighted key projects under the DCE’s leadership, including the construction of a community football park, water supply systems, and notable improvements in education and healthcare delivery.
Dr Amoakohene further acknowledged the crucial role of traditional authorities in promoting peace, unity, and development within their communities.
He described their willingness to partner with the government and their active involvement in local development as “commendable and deeply valued.”
“We are collectively laying the foundation for sustainable progress and inclusive growth,” he stated, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring that no community was left behind in the national development drive.
