Africa-Press – Ghana. President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Tokyo, Japan for the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) scheduled for Yokohama, Japan from August 20-22, 2025.
The President with his Delegation arrived in Tokyo, Japan on Emirates flight EK 318.
The Government of Japan has been leading the conference since 1993, co-hosted by the United Nations, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Bank and African Union Commission (AUC).
For approximately three decades, since the launch of TICAD in 1993, the Government of Japan has been making efforts based on the spirit of supporting African-led development.
Through the TICAD process, Japan will further deepen its relations with African countries.
