Africa-Press – Ghana. Mrs. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wassa Amenfi Central in the Western Region, has provided support for the reshaping of some community roads in the constituency to help ease commuting within the area.

The communities included Ankasie Donkorkrom, Obibakrom, Appiahkrom and Fourdjourkrom.

Mr. Peter Amponsah, the Wassa Amenfi Central District Chief Executive (DCE), said the MP generously donated an amount of GHC28,000 to specifically facilitate the equipping of the DRIP machines with fuel to embark on the projects.

The DCE stated that since the MP was elected, she had demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the development of the constituency, adding that this initiative was in response to appeals by the residents to the MP to help reshape their deplorable roads.

“This bold move marked a significant milestone in the history of Amenfi Central, as Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe becomes the first female MP to spearhead such an initiative on that stretch,” he said.

Some residents who spoke to the Ghana News Agency thanked the MP for prioritising their interests and welfare.

They said her selfless act was a testament to her dedication to improving the lives of her constituents and asked for continued support and more initiatives that would positively impact their communities.
