Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr. Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister for Sports and Recreation, has encouraged top Turkish football clubs to explore Ghana’s vast football talent to strengthen the ties between the two nations.

He made this call following a meeting with Mr. Şekib Avdagiç, President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, and Board Members at their headquarters.

The discussions also reaffirmed the strong relationship between Ghana and Türkiye, established in 1958, and identified new opportunities for cooperation.

Mr. Iddie Adams stated that clubs like Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray were leading contenders to partner with certain academies in Ghana for player recruitment.

He noted that Ghana is widely recognized as one of Africa’s top football nations, known for producing exceptional talent across the globe.

He also encouraged Turkish businesses to invest in the modernization of Ghana’s stadiums, development of new infrastructure, and the establishment of youth academies.

The Member of Parliament for the Buem Constituency engaged in discussions focused on key areas, including enhancing aviation links between the two countries and boosting investments in agriculture and irrigation.
