Mr Emmanuel Anum Doku, Chairman of the Kpone Okpokli Youth Association (KOYA), presenting a petition to the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly (KKMA), lamented that Kpone had been neglected for a long time as far as physical infrastructure was concerned.

He hinted that living within the municipality had become challenging, saying successive governments over the years had not dealt well with the people of Kpone-Katamanso.
According to the KOYA chairman, the poor road networks and the water crisis were also affecting health delivery within the municipality, with a call on the municipal assembly to address the various challenges facing the residents in the municipality within three months.
Mr Ali Amadu Mohammed, the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), receiving the petition on behalf of the municipal chief executive, assured the demonstrators that their petition would be given the needed attention.
Mr Mohammed hinted that the KKMA was established to help bring development to the doorsteps of the people; hence, the need to collaborate with the residents to find lasting solutions to their numerous challenges.
