Africa-Press – Ghana. Madam Vivian Dougblor, Eastern Regional Sports Development Officer of the National Sports College, has advised members of the Ghana Skate to prioritise commitment over financial gain.
She said as sports promoters and developers, it was important for them to seek to the promotion and development of sports before any other gains.
Madam Dougblor gave this advise when she welcomed members of the Ghana Skate in her office to introduce the regional executives to be inaugurated.
Mr. Johnson Gameli Kwaku Kportufe, President of Ghana Skate, emphasized the importance of development, seeking tangible results that can be witnessed by all.
He called on leaders of the Eastern Region Skate Association to make sure athletes’ development were their priority with safeguarding of athletes at the core of their plans for the region.
The eight-member executives committee is made up of Mr Cobbina Osei Tutu Ransford as Chairman with Mr. Thomas Sakyi as the Vice Chairman while Mr. Samuel K. Gyampoh serves as the Regional Secretary and Mr. Ntiba William Nbanye as the Regional Organizer.
The rest are Mr. Wumbai Amos as Technical Advisor, Mr. Agyemang Prince Charles Tetteh as Trainer, Madam Priscilla Oduro Antwi as the Public Relations Officer and Madam Dorcas Teiku as the Treasurer.
Mr Cobbina Ransford, chairman for the region promised his allegiance to the federation and his commitment to the sport.
He thanked the Director of National Sports Authority and the staff for opening their doors for them and assured them of an effective collaboration with the aim of developing Ghana Skate
