Kotoko Rallies Fans’ Support after CAF Confederation Cup Exit

Africa-Press – Ghana. Asante Kotoko has issued a passionate call for unity and support among fans following their disappointing exit from the 2025-26 CAF Confederation Cup at the hands of Wydad Athletic Club from Morocco.

The Porcupine Warriors were walloped 6-1 on aggregate by the Moroccan club, who advanced to the group stages of the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup.

Asante Kotoko acknowledged the heartbreak shared by players, management, and loyal fans, emphasising that the results were far from what they had worked for.

In a statement released after the second-leg encounter, Kotoko expressed resilience and determination to bounce back stronger.

“A setback is a setup for a comeback,” the club declared, reaffirming their commitment to future challenges and their unwavering belief in the team’s potential.

It added, “Now, more than ever, we need you. Your voice is our 12th player, and your presence is our fuel. We call on every Porcupine Warrior to fill the stands in our upcoming matches.

“Let us unite as one force, wear the red colours with pride, and roar the team to victory. The team is counting on you. Together, we will rise again.”
