Africa-Press – Ghana. Dr Charles Osei Anto, the Chairman of the Bono Regional Football Association, has urged club and football owners to do more and instil a high sense of discipline in their clubs.
He said the region would not tolerate football hooliganism in the season, and urged the clubs to always comply with the laid down regulations governing football.
Dr Anto gave the advice when he addressed club managers and owners at the association’s ordinary session of congress for the 2025/2026 football season in Sunyani.
The day’s congress was on the theme: “Fixing the fundamentals-empowering our grassroots” and attended by football managers of the Second Division clubs drawn from 11 zones in the region.
It was also attended by the representatives of 93 clubs, women’s league, managers of colts’ club, referees’ association, sports writers’ association, and the retired footballer’s association.
Dr Anto warned that clubs which engaged in acts of indiscipline and lawlessness would not be spared, and called for support from the club managers and stakeholders towards promoting football in the region.
The congress saw the reading of the annual report and audited accounts of the association.
