John Boadu Seeks NPP Chairmanship Support in Effia

Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr John Boadu, former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the weekend solicited the support of the Effia Constituency in the Western Region towards his national chairmanship bid.

Known for his dynamic leadership and deep commitment to the NPP, Mr Boadu is positioning himself as a unifying figure capable of steering the party to greater heights.

The declaration of intent was made at the Effia Constituency Women’s wing grassroot mobilisation workshop over the weekend in the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal area.

Present at the workshop were, Mr Maxwell Kofi Jumah, former CEO GIHOC, Mr Yaw Boamah, Member of Parliament for Effia, Mr Michael Appiah (Chairman Sasa) a Senior Lecturer, and former President Nominee on Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Governing Council, Professor Bruce Amartey Jnr., Dean of Students TTU, and other delegates and Executives of Effia Constituency.

From his early days working within the party’s grassroots structures, Mr Boadu built a reputation for dedication and strategic thinking.

Mr Boadu’s campaign emphasized renewal, transparency, and reconnecting with the grassroots members who formed the backbone of the NPP.

His message also resonated with many who sought a fresh approach to party leadership—one that balanced experience with innovation.

The former General Secretary highlighted key areas for development, including: strengthening party unity, enhancing communication channels within the party, and promoting policies that reflected the aspirations of all Ghanaians.

Mr Boadu hinted that he would also focus on inclusivity to heal divisions and build a more cohesive political force ahead of future elections.

Some supporters, who wished him well said , “Mr Boadu understands both the internal workings of the NPP and the broader challenges facing Ghana, adding that his leadership style combined pragmatism with a genuine passion for public service.”

As the election draws near, Mr Boadu remained confident that his vision for a stronger, more responsive NPP would inspire members and propel the party into its next chapter of success.
