The District Chief Executive for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Mr Isaac Yawson, has embarked on a tour of the Twifo Praso Old Market in the Twifo-Atti-Morkwa district of the central region ahead of the 2026 Budget presentation to be delivered by the Minister of Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson.
According to the DCE, the visit was the explain the policies of the government, led by President John Mahama, for the traders to better understand the budget.
He would, in turn, relay the challenges the traders faced for resources to be given for redress as government seeks to implement the 24-hour economy.
He said that the upcoming 2026 Budget was expected to bring positive news for all Ghanaians, particularly in relation to the 24-hour market, road networks linking communities within the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District and health care.
Some traders, Mrs Abena Yanko, Afua kobi and others at the market told that they were looking foward to an ultra-modern market complex to aid their trading activities.
They expressed high expectations for the 2026 Budget and hoped that it would provide solutions to the issues affecting their livelihoods.
