ARP Apex Commends Nsoatreman Rural Bank for Performance

Africa-Press – Ghana. The ARP Apex Bank PLC at the weekend commended the Board and Management of the Nsoatreman Rural Bank in the Bono Region for their impressive performance in the 2024 fiscal year.

“We have accessed your 2024 report, and we are highly impressed about your achievement”, Mrs Susan Boateng, the Regional Manager, Brong-Ahafo Chapter of the ARP Apex Bank PLC stated.

She asked the bank to leverage technological advancement and improve customer services by strengthening the ARP’s digital transformative drive to enable customers and shareholders to access and benefit from digital products like the Ghana Pay Agency and internet banking.

Mrs Boateng gave the commendation when she addressed the 35th Annual General Meeting of the Nsoatreman Rural Bank at Nsoatre in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Region and urged the shareholders and customers to maintain their confidence and remain loyal to the bank.

She said the bank was able to meet all the performance indicators, with most of the pointers witnessing positive growth, citing that the bank’s profit before tax growing from GHC1.5 million in 2023 to GHC3.3 million in 2024 was inspiring.

Mrs Boateng lauded the bank’s ability to withstand economic shocks in previous years, noting that the bank’s retained earnings were negative, pegging around GHC39,879 in 2023, its ability to move to over GHC1.7 million in 2024 was impressive.

“From the bank’s performance we could see that Nsoatreman isn’t only looking for profits but also contributing towards shaping the economy,” she stated.

Mr Boateng said a good capital base and strategic direction remained prerequisite in banking and urged the bank to look beyond the sale of shares and improve its capital base, however urged the shareholders to increase their investments as well.

She asked the shareholders to re-think and reinvest their dividends by buying more shares to improve the bank’s capital base.

Mr Franklin Adjei Tanor, the President of the Bono-Ahafo Chapter of the Association of Rural Banks, urged the customers of the bank to endeavour to pay their loans and invest more into shares to improve the performance of the bank.

Earlier, Professor Emmanuel Opoku Marfo, the Board Chairman of the Nsoatreman Rural Bank, commended the board, management, staff and customers and shareholders for their loyalty and pledged the bank’s commitment to provide excellent banking services.
