Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr Pius Enam Hadzide, the Campaign Spokesperson for Dr Bryan Acheampong, one of the Election 2028 Presidential hopefuls of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says voting for the aspirant will unite and maintain discipline in the party.
He said that would position the NPP well to win Election 2028.
The NPP has set January 31, 2026 for its presidential primary to elect a flagbearer to lead the party in the 2028 general election.
Dr Acheampong is contesting the primary with four other aspirants including Mr Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a former General Secretary of NPP, Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a former Member of Parliament (MP), former Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, also a former MP and Minister of Education.
Addressing some NPP delegates at Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Bono Region, Mr Hadzide highlighted some traits of Dr Acheampong, saying the aspirant had good character, well mannered, bold, firm and principled and had the ability to unite the party for electoral victory in 2028.
Dr Acheampong and his campaign team was at the Dormaa Central constituency to canvas votes of the delegates as part of his campaign tour to the Bono region.
Mr Hadzide cited that “the late Dr Hilla Liman, Dr K. A. Busia and President John Dramani, Mahama won the general election at their first attempt. So, if they were able to win on their first attempt then that means Dr Acheampong can also win Election 2028 on his first attempt.”
He said Dr Acheampong was contesting the party’s presidential primary to lead the NPP to electoral victory in 2028 and not only push forward progressive and sustainable national development, but also sought the welfare of the party faithful.
