Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr. Charles Appiah-Kubi, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho, has commissioned three major development projects as part of efforts to strengthen infrastructure and improve public service delivery across the district.

The projects included a newly constructed four-unit single-room self-contained teachers’ bungalow at Adeito, a fully furnished National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) office, and a modern Department of Agriculture office, both located at Asiwa, the district capital.

Addressing residents and traditional authorities during the ceremonies, Mr. Appiah-Kubi said the projects reflected the government’s commitment to promoting inclusive development and addressing the pressing needs of communities within the district.

He noted that effective decentralisation required adequate infrastructure to support service delivery, particularly in the areas of health, agriculture, and community welfare.

He praised the collaborative efforts of chiefs, assembly members, and community groups and urged them to take ownership of the facilities to ensure their sustainability.

Proper maintenance, he stressed, was essential for safeguarding public investments and ensuring that the benefits extended to future generations.

Mr. Appiah-Kubi reaffirmed the Assembly’s dedication to improving key sectors such as health and agriculture.

He said the establishment of a new NHIS office would ease access to health insurance services, reduce travel time for residents, and enhance enrollment and claims processing.

The Department of Agriculture office, he added, would strengthen farmer support services, extension delivery, and agricultural productivity across the district.

Community members and opinion leaders expressed appreciation to the Assembly for the projects, describing them as timely interventions that would enhance social and economic activities within the district.
