Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana’s Black Stars have been drawn in Group L of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and will face England, Croatia and Panama.
The draw, staged at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., placed Ghana in a group that combines European heavyweights with a rising Central American side.
England, with its long footballing tradition, and Croatia, finalists in 2018, are widely tipped as favorites to advance.
For Ghana, who would be making their fifth World Cup appearance, the group represents both a daunting challenge and a rare opportunity.
The Black Stars have a history of upsetting the odds, most memorably reaching the quarter-finals in 2010, and would aim to rekindle that spirit in North America.
FIFA has announced that the full match schedule, including dates and stadiums, would be released on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
The tournament would be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, with matches spread across multiple cities.
