Africa-Press – Ghana. Zijin Golden Ridge Limited, a subsidiary of Zijin Mining Group Limited, has reaffirmed its commitment to Ghana’s agricultural development by making a generous donation, to support the 2025 Farmers Day celebrations in the Eastern Region.
The items, including farm inputs, tricycles, motorbikes, and electrical appliances, were worth more than USD18,000, and they were presented to the Birim North District and Eastern Regional Coordinating Council.
Madam Hajia Yusif, the Eastern Regional Director of Agriculture, commended the company’s continued support, noting the donation would be distributed to farmers who distinguished themselves during the year.
“Over the years, Zijin has been a valued partner, and this year is no exception. We look forward to deeper collaboration to build the capacities of farmers and the agricultural industry in the district and region,” she said.
Mr Kwesi Aglago, the Acting General Manager of Zijin Golden Ridge Limited, said the company remained committed to community development through agriculture.
He stressed that partnerships between industry and agriculture were vital for sustainable growth.
