Africa-Press – Ghana. The Atikpui family has donated two lawn mowers to the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) at Nutekpor to support environmental maintenance and sanitation within the Command.
The items were presented at the forecourt of the NAVTRAC Headquarters on Friday, December 12, 2025, by Dr Vanessa Atikpui on behalf of Dr Eli Kwasi Atikpui, as a gesture of goodwill towards the Ghana Navy.
Presenting the items, Dr Atikpui said the donation was motivated by the family’s desire to contribute to the upkeep of the Command and to complement efforts at maintaining a clean, safe and conducive training environment for officers and trainees. She noted that a well-maintained environment enhanced discipline, health, and operational efficiency.
She expressed appreciation to the Ghana Navy, particularly NAVTRAC, for its critical role in training personnel for national defence and maritime security and encouraged other individuals and organisations to support security institutions in diverse ways.
Receiving the donation, the Flag Officer Commanding NAVTRAC and 7 Garrison Commander, Commodore James Adongo Agambire, expressed gratitude to the Atikpui family for the timely support.
He said the lawn mowers would significantly improve ground maintenance within the Command and help reduce operational challenges associated with environmental upkeep.
Commodore Agambire reaffirmed NAVTRAC’s commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and professionalism and assured the family that the items would be put to effective and sustainable use.
