Africa-Press – Ghana. The National Commission on Culture (NCC) has commended President John Dramani Mahama and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts for their commitment to preserving Ghana’s cultural institutions.
In a statement issued in Accra, the Commission expressed gratitude to the President for his leadership and dedication to strengthening the nation’s cultural infrastructure.
It also thanked Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, and her Deputy, Mr. Yussif Issaka Jajah, for their efforts to advance Ghana’s cultural heritage and promote the creative arts industry.
The commendation followed the commencement of rehabilitation works at the Western Regional Directorate of the Centre for National Culture (CNC) to restore and enhance the facility’s infrastructure.
The Commission said the project would modernise critical infrastructure and reinforce the Centre’s role as a hub for cultural education, preservation, and community engagement.
“The leadership and continued support of our national leaders empower creatives, enrich our national identity, and inspire future generations,” the statement said.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to collaborate with Government and stakeholders to ensure the sustainable development of the cultural sector for national growth and cohesion.
