Africa-Press – Ghana. Mrs Juliana Kobeta, the Techiman Branch Manager of the Presbyterian Trinity Cooperative Union says the union’s asset base grew from GHC7 million in 2024 to GHC9 million in 2025.
She said the unprecedented growth in the asset was basically due to the cordial relationship with customers and members of the communities in the union’s operational enclave.
Speaking in an interview in Techiman, Mrs Kobeta said that the union had opened additional branches in the Techiman Metropolis as well as Akumadan in the Offinso North District of the Ashanti Region.
She said the union had provided financial support, increasing the capital base of more than 50 tomato growers to expand and improve their economic activities.
Mrs Kobeta said that: “The supports the beneficiaries with less interest loans which afforded them the opportunity to boost their business capitals and promote smooth running of their businesses within the 2024 and 2025 fiscal years”.
She said as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the union had assisted many schools to build classrooms and other educational facilities, saying that the Gari Women Producers in the area had also benefited immensely from the CSR activities.
Mrs Kobeta said the union remained dedicated to supporting and improving the socio-economic livelihoods of the people, and urged traders, farmers and entrepreneurs to do business with them.
