Mr Kofi Idi Adams, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Buem Constituency, has advised staff of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) in the Oti Region to uphold the highest standards of integrity by refraining from taking bribes and focusing on delivering quality services.
He emphasized that their salaries constitute adequate compensation for their work and therefore urged them not to seek additional income from customers.
Speaking at the commissioning of the newly established DVLA office, the MP highlighted the importance of professionalism and transparency in public service.
He further encouraged staff to be mindful of their critical role in promoting development and ensuring road safety within the region.
Mr Adams also urged the workers to adopt improved service delivery methods, stressing the need for efficiency, a positive attitude, and a more customer-friendly approach.
Mr Parke-Davis Magyigbe, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Jasikan Municipal Assembly, said the new ultra-modern centre would create jobs, stimulate local businesses, and boost economic growth.
He appealed to community members to support and safeguard the facility to ensure continuous quality service in the area.
He commended Mr Yaw Osei, Director of Tacos JP Limited, operators of the DVLA ultra-modern centre, for his dedication to the community, and also praised the MP for his leadership.
