Africa-Press – Ghana. Dr Senanu Kwasi Djokoto, the Deputy National Director in charge of operations, National Health Insurance Scheme, has commiserated with Mr Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, Member of Parliament for the Keta Constituency on the death of his mother, Henrietta Atsufui Avuglah.
Dr Djokoto, during the visit at Anlo-Afiadenyigba, expressed deep sympathy for the Avuglah and Atseku Amega family, who were mourning the loss of their beloved matriarch.
“This is a very difficult moment for the entire National Democratic Congress (NDC) party in the Volta Region as well andlet me affirm that our thoughts and prayers are with Mr Gakpey and the entire family during this difficult time of grief,” he said.
Dr Djokoto, who was the former Keta NDC Constituency Chairman, and also contested in the previous Constituency parliamentary primaries, pledged his solidarity to the family, and made a modest donation to assist with preparations for the funeral.
“We hope that the almighty Lord will grant the bereaved family strength, comfort, and peace as they bid their final farewell to Presbyter Henrietta Atsufui Avuglah.”
Mr Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, the Keta MP, on behalf of the bereaved families expressed gratitude and thanked Dr Djokoto and the entire NDC party for the support and prayers.
The late Henrietta Atsufui Avuglah, a retired teacher, passed away in 2025, and the pre‐burial service would be held on Friday, February 27, from 1800 to 2200 hours at the Anlo‐Afiadenyigba Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church, where she was a presbyter and the burial on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
